How much does it cost to make my CD available on Alt Hits.com?
There is no cost to you for making your CD avaiable in our proprietary CCCD format and you are reimbursed for every copy sold via Alt Hits.com. See our Sign up information for more details.

You mean I don't have to make 1,000 copies and pay up front?
Nope. Alt Hits.com only provides 1-offs of your original CD using our proprietary CCCD process. This can be likened to the copy of a CD that you purchase from one of the more popular record-and-tape clubs. The duplicate CD is identical, but the CD insert may bave been a 16-page booklet, and is now only front and back. And you don't pay-up-front. We pay you for every CD that we sell. No minimums, no monthly fees, no additional charges.

What if I don't have a CD, only an audio cassette?
We accept submissions via audio cassette and are currently developing a department that will focus on converting your sudio cassette to CD, for archival and participation with Alt Hits.com. Cassette submissions will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis, but may take longer than CD submissions.

How much does it cost to post a video?
We are not posting videos at this time, but are planning to make them available in the near future.

What does Alt Hits.com have to offer me as an Singer/Songwriter?
In addition to providing exposure to new listening audiences, radio stations, record labels, TV and video producers, concert promoters and talent agencies, Alt Hits.com gives you an archival presence on the Internet that can be seen from anywhere in the world. Documenting your talent and making you accessible in the event that opportunites may become available.

What if I need to change information on my Web page?
Not a problem, contact Alt Hits.com via snail mail with updates and/or corrections.

My album includes songs written by other artists, can I still sumbit my project to you?
Due to legal constraints, we can only preserve and present songs that you have the legal right to use and be reimbursed for. If that means not including one or more tracks on your CD, then our staff will trim where necessary, making a new version of your original. If you have several existing CDs, with some original tracks on each, these can be combined by our staff into a compilation CD featuring your original works.

How long does it take to get my CCCDs available and online?
Some artists will appear almost instantly, some will take longer, due to time and labor constrains. Be assured that the task of documenting your work and making it available is out primary task and your project will be handled with care.

Can I change my photos once they are posted?
Not a problem, send us a new picture via snail mail, and we'll gladly update it for you

Can I have links from your site to my existing Web site?
Not at this time, although you can link your existing web site to your page at Alt Hits.com.

How many pictures can I post?
At this time, we are posting at least 1 and up to 6 photos per artist maximum

How will record labels, agencies, directors, etc. contact me?
All contacts are e-mailed to your contact number (A-xxxx@althits.com). Your personal contact information is not given directly to those seeking your services. The information is forwarded to the contact person that you designate (either your e-mail or that of your manager). You (and/or your management) can then check out the offer to check for authenticity prior to responding

I have some great nude photos (or explicit content) can I add them to my site at Alt Hits.com?
Some other sites post nude shots, eplicit graphic or text, in an attempt to drive extra traffic to their site. However, the traffic that these sites get are not from qualified industry professionals, but from web surfers hunting for explicit content. Alt Hits.com is committed to perserving that artist's work and does not edit the commercial CCCDs in any way, although we reserve the right to edit nude photos (or explicit content) to be posted on the site for two reasons. First, in order to protect the integrity of the web site and making it available to fans and researchers of all ages, and secondly, to prevent political powers to attempt to control the content or final, end-product.

How will charges for Alt Hits.com appear on my credit card statement?
Alt Hits.com is a division of Web Masters Ink, any credit card charges representing Alt Hits.com will show on your statement as Web Masters Ink
