Our mission, at Alt Hits.com, is to preserve the art and integrity of original, independent music that might have otherwise been lost in the vast void on obscurity. It is apparrent that a great many music artists are never "discovered" or in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time.
Many artists, including songwriters, musicians and bands work hard playing music, appearing at locations surrounding their primary residences, even touring beyond... only to discover that the revenue does not justify the art. Sadly, the art is abandoned for the necessary endeavor of survival in a world that overly supports those who have been fortunate enough to become famous.
The art is, therefor, lost forever. Audio recordings of the art deteriorate over time. Cassettes, Albums, CDs are given away to radio stations, family and friends, some were purchased by performance performance attendees, but other than that, there is little to document and preserve the artist's work - or that it ever happened at all.
Alt Hits.com and their partners are embarking on a project to preserve the independent works of music artists - not only to document - but also to promote the artist's works at no cost to the artist.
Qualifying artists must have a CD (or multiple CDs) containing original music owned by the artist. The CD(s) must contain no works by other artists or songwriters, that the artist submitting the work does not have the rights to promote or distribute. This may mean that Alt Hits.com may need to extract tracks from different CDs in order to create a compilation CD on the behalf of the participating artist. Alt Hits.com will work with the artist in order to achieve the specific composite as needed.
Artist's works will be archived, and catalogued by date and primary geographic location, making the works available to researchers and fans.
Alt Hits.com will also make available to the public Club Commercial CD Duplicates (CCCD) of the artists works at no charge to the artist. Specifics of the CCCD's include: A reproduction of the CD front and back page (if there are two pages). Booklets will be limited to include only the front and back. A tray card, jewel box, appropriately labelled CD and shrinkwrapping.
The wholesale cost, to the artist for the CCCD is US$7.99. Alt Hits.com will make the CCCDs available to the public at a default price of US$12.99, placing US$5.00 into an account on the behalf of the qualifying, registered artist. The artist may adjust the price of his/her CCCD either above or below the default price. The difference between the wholesale (US$7.99) and the stipulated retail price will be placed in the artist's account.
Artists will receive checks from Alt Hits.com as orders for the artist's works acrue. Checks will have a minimum threshold of $50.00 in order to generate a check. Checks will be sent to the address provided by the artist at the time of submission. Any changes of address or payment information must be made to Alt Hits.com via normal postal delivery to the address below.
In the event that the artist is not available to receive monies for works sold, Alt Hits.com will secure the amounts due the artists, for retrieval by the artist, their estate or heirs, for a period of up to 20 years.
Inquiries that are generated by users of - and visitors to - Alt Hits.com will be forwarded to the artist as they are generated. In the event that the artist changes his/her email address, Alt Hits.com must be notified via normal postal delivery to the address below. Undeliverable inquiries will be deleted and ignored.
Alt Hits.com seeks no other renumeration, or kick-backs. This is to say, that if the artist is "discovered" via Alt Hits.com by a major label and becomes famous for his art, which may have otherwise been lost or forgotten, Alt Hits.com will not require any points or percentages of the deal. Alt Hits.com will only continue to offer the originally archived CCCDs, as agreed, and be allowed "bragging rights."

Participating Alt Hits.com will also be able to participate in other side projects and promotions in tandem with other participating artists to include (but not limited to) live performances, festivals, venues, compilation CDs and other promotions as they become available.
